I'd imagine it would all mate up, 9A and ABF 16v engines are very similar all have O2A type boxes, the selectors are all basically the same too, mk3 uses identical cables to the Corrado, it's only the mk 4's that have a completely different design of selector.

the starter may have older type elec. connections depending on it's age, I think the mk3 has the later 4 cyl corrado connectors on the starter, it will fit mechanically though.

electrical connections are no problem, just making sure everything mechanical will fit. i know the vr6 selector wont fit a g60 box, but im hoping the g60 selector will fit the mk3 2l 16v box as i dont have the selector or starter motor for it!

I think this title is wrong. You are asking about an 02A not an 02M. 02M is the double final drive 6 speed box found in mk4 onwards

re: my sig,

I have a MK3 Passat 16V CHA box fitted to my G60, using the G60 flywheel, G60 selector and G60 starter motor so there will be no probs fitting this box.

sounds promising!

well if nothing fits on sunday when i take it all apart i have someone to blame
