godskitchen 0 Posted September 24, 2006 "We've heard of chopping the top on your car, but this really is ridiculous. Brit gearhead Andy Saunders decided he wanted to build the world's lowest car, and set about doing it by dropping £240 on a 17-year-old Fiat 126. Next, he and two frieds spent three days building the car before a live audience at the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu. The end result? Saunders named it "Flat Out." It stands 53 centimeters tall and has a top speed of 65 mph (which probably feels like 165 from the driver's seat of that thing). The bummer for Saunders is that he's too tall to fit in the car himself! If the Shriners ever decide to start their own one-marque race series, Saunders may need to buy a bunch more Fiat 126es..."
