Supercharged 2 Posted October 20, 2006 Welcome to the forum... What engine is it? Depending on where it is it may be drawing in unmetered air which will cause the idle to be lumpy... VW breather hoses are usually just standard rubber which altho isn't the best material to use, it's cheap and usually lasts 10 years before the rubber breaks down due to oil. What engine is it? - If it;s straight pipe then silicon is the stuff to use but otherwise just get the correct pipe from VW, you won't see any performance difference between the two...
