emissions on a 1.8 16v

Does my 1.8 valver need an emissions test for mot, if so what the limit before it fails as my car is set up rich from when i was running the 16vt lump, co2 is set at 2ish.

yep, but it's not as stringent as for a car with a CAT post 1992, 2% CO should pass OK, think 3.5 is the limit for a non CAT car.

Mine failed MOT for the emissions a couple of years ago.

i'll need to get it double checked as my sparkies were black when i changed them yesterday, think its slighty over fueling, when i accelerate quick and put the clutch down the revs come down slowly is that a sign over overfueling? Can normally hear a hissing noise when i turn the engine off, checked for vaccum leaks but couldn't find any might be the drilled airbox releasing the pressure?
