GivemeaVR 0 Posted December 10, 2006 Just new to this forum and need help with buying my first Corrado Ive seen a '95 VR6 fror sale for £3700 with 95k miles Just acouple of questions 1. The service book has 9 stamps which sounds ok for the year/milage but should i look for anything being done inparticular for this year and milage? i.e belts, chains, gaskets etc? 2. It is for sale with a corrado 'specialist' called 'The Corrado Specialist' or TCS which the phone area code based in Tamworth near Birmingham. Has anybody heard of these/had dealings with and have any comments? 3. I know its hard to tell from a photo but does this seem about the right price that these cars go for? I was unsure of the colour being origional described as 'Twilight Violet Pearl' but have looked on the guide and there is one listed with the paint codes. Also it has Karmann black interior (trying to find out if its leather as it does not state in the advert). Any help is much appreciated as the car will be a daily driver so i dont need to have any major issues to keep it off the road. And i will have to travel to view the car. Here is a pic of the car and it doesnt look too bad. Thanks in advance http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o200 ... orrado.jpg
Son of a Beesting 0 Posted December 10, 2006 Welcome to the forum Do a serach on TCS, there has been a few threads recently about him. Depends what you are after but I would feel more comfortable buying from a enthushist (sp) All the best on the search though
vr6storm 0 Posted December 10, 2006 1. The service book has 9 stamps which sounds ok for the year/milage but should i look for anything being done inparticular for this year and milage? i.e belts, chains, gaskets etc? ideally you should be seeing at least 10/11 stamps.......one for every year, the serpentine belt should be replaced at 60k miles(this won't be shown in the service book),Timing chains are considered by VW to last the life of the car,and would only really be replaced when the engine is rebuilt, gaskets aren't a servicable part either so it all depends on what supporting paperwork there is supplied with the car 2. It is for sale with a corrado 'specialist' called 'The Corrado Specialist' or TCS which the phone area code based in Tamworth near Birmingham. Has anybody heard of these/had dealings with and have any comments? as above do a search been mentioned a few times on here 3. I know its hard to tell from a photo but does this seem about the right price that these cars go for? VR6 prices are all over the place at the moment,so pay more for condition than anything else I was unsure of the colour being origional described as 'Twilight Violet Pearl' but have looked on the guide and there is one listed with the paint codes. Also it has Karmann black interior (trying to find out if its leather as it does not state in the advert). Twilight Violet is a Corrado colour right enough,as for the Black Karmann interior,if it was leather TCS would be making a bigger deal of it
