Dr Forinor 0 Posted December 15, 2006 Ok, I think this is in the right section. The undersection tray/flap thingy-ma-bobber (on my drivers side) is broken and I need a new one. I have been given this part number and this price from the stealers; 535 805 826A at £36.50 (inc VAT) Can someone check is this is the right part number and is this price reasonable or can I get it elsewhere cheaper? Also, what is the proper name for it? Thanks folks :)
Joe M 0 Posted December 15, 2006 I had this on my old 16v, made a horrible grinding noise against the ground once the speed went past about 75. I cable tied it back up, and it was fine. :)

Dr Forinor 0 Posted December 15, 2006 But if you take it off, does it not increase chances of water getting up there in deeper puddles etc etc? GIXXERUK; Thanks for that

GIXXERUK; Thanks for that Can anyone shed any light on as to whether it's a good idea to completely remove the lap or not? Bearing in mind I have the BMC CDA kit with the pipe going downwards... Dr Forinor 0 Posted December 16, 2006 Ive had no probs and ive got a 90mm chin on now without the corners. Appreciated you havent had any problems, but the pipe that goes down from the BMC faces directly downwards.... ie if water splashes from a deep puddle, its possible its within reach... Joe M 0 Posted December 16, 2006 I wouldnt run without them for the water reasons. Try cable ties. :)
steve_16v 0 Posted December 16, 2006 Mine didn't last long after it was lowered, they were briefly cable tied on but that didn't last long either, haven't had any problems without out them but if you've got a BMC pointing down then I'd say it's better to be safe than sorry and have new ones fitted.
