ZippyVR6 0 Posted January 2, 2007 You may well have an air lock. although I thought VW coolant systems were pressurised which should avoid air locks. Try squezing the hoses a little. failing that, from cool, start car with expansion tank cap open, and wait for the engine to warm up. the coolant will circulate and eventually overflow, this should flush out any air locks.
