cold start probs

when the cars cold it fires up....it idle shit,,,no power at all

b 4 i had nosteady idle...cleaned the isv valve out....runs nicer know

but shit start on cold

any ideas

my 1.8 16v runs on 3 wen its very cold and has no power, but it usually clears wen i rev it. startin to bug me now so any help would be apprecieated

I read that due to the design of the 16v inlet manifold with the cold start valve at one end, sometimes when the car is started with the pistons at a certain position it can cause too much petrol being sucked into the combustion chamber at the piston nearest the valve flooding that cylinder. Sounds like this is what your experiencing alex darcy.
