tango 0 Posted January 15, 2007 Hi, have had this ongoing problem for a while now... I put the key in and the engine turns over rev counter gets to about 1500 revs then dies,it happens again and a gain and again.. then i try it a 6 or 14th time and it turns over as if nothing is wrong!!! mental or what!!! what do you think moved or faulty immobiliser reader coil? are these easy to fit?? how much and wheres the cheapest prace to buy one, is there anything else i need to get along with the reader coil? cheers, Jim. 95 Mystic Storm. CrazyDave 0 Posted January 18, 2007 Bad connection on the plug where it fits to the imo box. Follow the lead from the coil behind the key, to the box just up under the dash (take the lower tray out first). Pull the little plug by squeezing the clip, spray it with some contact cleaner and work it back on and off a few times, sorted. Should be good for 18months before it'll need cleaning again!
