Poly steering rack bushes...

do they make much difference?

could be a cheap way of improving steering response..

Bad steering response can be down to a lot of things. I'd check the ball joints, and the wishbone & ARB bushes before getting stuck into the rack.

 

Also, it might also be worth getting the rack examined. If there is "slop" in the rack that'll more likely be because of a shagged steering rack than knackered bushes.

its not sloppy by a long way but 15 year old bushes must need doing by now..

 

and if poly makes a difference then thats the way we will go :)

oh and thinking about it, i think the difference between the 2 bushes is because of the different racks between 16v/G60 & VR :)
