Handbrake Handle question???

Recommended Posts

Just a quick query.

Should the Handbrake Handle sit in the middle of the centre trim?

Mine seems to have a lean to the drivers side and its pulling the plastic trim towards the seat. I was wondering if over time its possible for it to bend on the mounting brackets through constant use? Starting to have clearance problems with the handbrake sticking on the plastic.

Many thanks.

Yes, mine has the same issues. The welds are weak at the bottom, I just bent mine back, but it'll snap off in time.

Think they all end up like this. Apparently it's got something to do with the Rado being specifically designed as a LHD car.

I actually managed to wrip the handbrake handle out. My mechanic couldnt understand how the bolt on the underside wripped throught the metal. I have since learnt to be gentle when applying the handbrake!

Strangely I noticed that mine seems to point more towards the driver but thought it was just me..

So yes - I get that too!

I had the same problem as Khurrado, and had to weld some large penny washers. After this it's sat pretty central.

I just made this same discovery sunday, thought the surround was loose but the bolt had broken through the weld, just re-drilled a hole and hoping for the best..
