Can I do it without ripping the dash to pieces? it just prizes out, usual VW spring tabs either side, just be careful as a screwdriver can take chunks out of the dash. Jim 2 Posted February 10, 2007 Yep - as everyone says. Had to change headlight switch on my old G60 and just needed a little force and a large flat headed screwdriver to gently prise it out. I think you can pop the blank out and then push the switch out from the back using your fingers. Hm.. in fact I think thats how I did it on mine so..
