RADO.001 0 Posted February 20, 2007 alrite guys need a to use the forum knowledge, ive been lookin for a second low budget project for a while now. was idealy lookin at mk1 golfs and caddys but could never find a good base for the cash i want to spend! ive been offered a mk1 jetta, 5dr, 1.6 petrol, manual with only 70k on it. looks in good nick, and just in need of a bit of tlc, only 2 spots of rust 1. on the pass door below the mirror 2. on the tail gate. so what i want to know is what do u guys think & what do u know bout mk1 jettas? any help would be great thanks, Dave Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
jazzdevil 0 Posted February 20, 2007 my cousin ran a mk1 Jetta for a few years without fault... any problems tend to be same as the era-Golfs - knocking tappets, worn engine mounts and the like. nothing that couldn't be easily fixed... actually, cousin's looking for a similar aged/type project himself... so i won't tell him that you've found one just down the road in Poole :) Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
