'95 corrado sunroof doesn't autoclose

Recommended Posts

As title - it should autoclose with the key but it doesn't.

Any suggestions?

Its a '95 2.0 16v. My last '93 16v had full closure so I know what to do - its just not playing ball with the autoclosure.

cheers!

C'mon people - you've had two and a half months to think about it now!

Any ideas? Windows work with the key just fine but the roof won't play. The Ai606 is going in tomorrow and I want it all working!

Any ideas how the roof & windows are connected electrically on the closure circuit?

Cheers,

The alarm just mimmicks someone holding the key in the lock.

Sunroof closure should be part of the car's original wiring......

Oh, and I'm fitting the alarm!

Alarm now fully opearational and hunky-dory.

Whilst working via the main switch, the sunroof still won't close via the key in the door nor the alarm.

Does anyone have access to the circuit diagram for this circuit? A scan would be much appreciated now as this is starting to get frustrating!

EDIT _ ALL SORTED NOW!

Found the wiring diagram on one of those eBay workshop manuals I'd bought some time ago.

Went out with a meter planning to check the voltage of the red/yellow (closure) wire to the sunroof - got the trim panel off and what do I find? Some mug has pulled the wire out of the motor's plug and taped it up neatly out of the way!

No idea why someone did this or even when.......

Plugged it in again and all seems fine!

Full closure is mine once again! Reminder - must wax sunroof rails before it all snaps - sounds tired!

"No idea why someone did this or even when......."

I'd guess so they could lock it up and leave the roof open?
