Carbon canister removal

Recommended Posts

Hi i have heard that removal of the carbon canister on g60's is fine after the car has cover 100k or so as it no longer really does anything.

I have removed mine and all is well no diffrence to running etc..

My question is there is a part that was connected to the canister and as far as i can establish is some sort of bypass valve or anti run on valve,

I would like to remove this as well and the associated pipes as it would tidy up the engine bay can anybody tell me if they ghave do this??

thanks guys

Hello mate, if you do a search there is plenty of info about taking out this bit and the accompanying pipes.

When I did mine there was a diagram somewhere on the forum too.

Done mine and made no difference to running.

you want to trace those hoses right back to where they fit the inlet mani and blank them there...that way remove the chance of vac leaks on those hoses

run the tank vent into the lower airbox
