RS VR6 0 Posted March 11, 2007 215 40 17, if you want stretch. Maybe a 225 35 17 if you want more meat. You'll need to modify your rear arches to put the 9's on though. 215 40 17 on 9's
praise b the LOweReD 0 Posted March 12, 2007 hi i was told i wouldnt need to mod rear arches just roll them... what exactly do i need doing to them to get nines under ?
herisites 0 Posted March 12, 2007 You will most definately need arch modding with 17x9's i have 16x9's and rolled arches and still catch so i need them pulled. Unless you have them sitting in the arch further but then you may have issues catching the coilovers or inner arch.
praise b the LOweReD 0 Posted March 12, 2007 my biggest fear realised... nightmare... i have 4 9s as well... someone said the track is different on the vr6 and the 16 v which i have so id only need rolled arches ? but eh maybe thats wrong from what ur saying ? more money ... :x
praise b the LOweReD 0 Posted March 12, 2007 THE ET ON THE RIMS IS 55 I KNOW OR THINK THAT COMES DOWN TO 35 WITH ADAPTORS FITTED ? CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG ? AS NEW TO THIS WILL THIS MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE TO ARCH WORK ? ALSO IF I RUN 205S ON THEM WILL THIS HELP CLEARANCE ? I WANNA GO AS LOW AS POSSIBLE ? lamwagon 0 Posted March 12, 2007 ive got a set of 17x9's and decided its ganna be to much hassel, with 25mm adapters the rims on sat about half an inch form the rim, and that was with the car jacked up in the air, if u wanna go low ur going to need to have the arches flared. RS VR6 0 Posted March 13, 2007 Theres no way. 17x9 in the front will not fit...the adapters will be at least 20mm bringing the et out to 35. Same with the rears. If you are running coilovers, you'll need around a 22 et to clear the coilovers. 16x9, you may be able to get away with in the rear. Even with just lowering springs you may run into rubbing issues. Unless you want to spend a grip on bodywork...I'd pass on these wheels. The Corrado has some small wheel wells.
