Audi TT Buying Advice please

Recommended Posts

Hi people.

My cousin wants me to find her a decent Audi TT.

She has 10 grand to spend on it, (I have no idea if that is enough)and wants to keep it for 2 to 3 years.

She does not want an convertible, and wants to make sure that she doesnt get the "wrong" model (If there is such a thing? I thought the single tail pipe one was the least desirable, but i really aint that clued up on TT's)

There are so many 2nd examples on the market, i dont know where to begin. Thats where you guys that are in the know come in.

What should i avoid / make sure of (aside from the usual FSH etc etc)

Cheers in advance.

tbh, after seeing Darren's (gman) TT I would'nt be so quick to knock one. However I don't think they are built for me, I looked like I was wearing the Rado not driving it! god knows what I would look like getting out of a tt

I actually really like TT's....been considering one myself!

For 10k you'd be able to get a nice 225 I would have thought, or maybe an even nicer 180. But like you say, steer clear of the 150 FWD model. Dont really know why, just always been told this.

Ditto, i never used to think much to TT's apart from being hairdressers and estate agents cars .. BUT after seeing Darrens and a few others at UD i now find myself looking at TT's in a completely different way!! I would actually like to own one

My brother in law has the limited edition sport or whatever it's called, with the black roof and mirrors etc, really quick car, lovely to drive. just a pain to get in and out of!!

Think for 10k you are in 180/225 territory but you should be able to pick up a nice clean one :)
