Charger Reduction Pipe

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have a Silicon reduction pipe for an RSR style VW O.E outlet off the G60 Golf, to make it fit the Corrado. If so can you please let me know, or alternatively does anyone have the dimensions for it. I know you can buy reducing Samco pipes but don't know what size to get.

Darren, have you got one??

Cheers

J

im still not sold on the u-bend/front mount. that u-bend and all the extra piping has to kill boost response somewhat... its so much extra airspace to fill. i know the power is up with a FM, but how is the boost repsonse compared to the stock setup (or an A/W setup)?

mines better.

if measured the charger to ic is now around a foot if the pipe is straight.

The ui bend is soo big the flow is no issue so i have 1 foot of pipe comared with around 3 feet.

before i had on std car as most do.

res box-about 6 inches.

hose about same

and pipe about 2 feet before shit shiteing poor std intercooler

it works for sure.

also i can now.

see engine mount.

no need to remove fan or rad for anything.

im on a pacet pro fan too which is around 8cm thick and 1668CFM

i can get the oil filter off from the top by hand.

i can get the oil filter from top by hand too... small rad fan yes, but i have stock IC.

i guess you're right the pathway isnt that much longer to the IC, but the path from the IC to the TB has to be longer... not to mention the pressure drop from the big IC as well.

i'm stumped on this one. i wish i knew someone local with a big FMIC and someone with a nice short A/W to compare back to back.... maybe i'll have to try both on my car before i'm happy..
