G60Dan 0 Posted October 27, 2003 I'm getting a funny clunk some times while I'm driving. It is drive train related as when it happens it gets faster & slower when the car does. It's nothing to do with the brakes as when they applied the car is still stopping fine. She sometimes wants to pull to the left too - but not necessarily when it's clunking I think it altered the noise when I dipped the clutch too. Anyone have any idea's? It only does it every so often. I have just had it in the garage to have a new cv joint on the passenger side so it isn't that. Any help welcome. Dan :?
G60Dan 0 Posted October 28, 2003 Think I have found the problem!!!! leaving my drive this morning - clonk clonk clonk :? it didn't normally do that!! Popped the bonnet only to find both my top mounts loose?!?!?! I don't know why they are loose, but hopefully this should sort the problem & thankfully won't break the bank!! I won't have time to do it as it'll be dark by the time I get home from work, I'll let the garage know & they can sort it tomorrow when it goes in. So I'm kinda :D today!
