Jim 2 Posted March 24, 2007 Been suffering at the hands of an old Alpine head unit for ages which only played store bought CD's. CD-R's tended to skip and play up, and MP3's and stuff were not supported. I'd been wanting an MP3 capable unit for ages but then, when on my trip down to 2cc's garage, met up with NickVR6 who had one of these head units in his car. The coolest thing about them is a USB port on the front that you can just plug in a pen drive and play your tunes straight off that. Even better is that pen drives have dropped to STUPID prices in recent months.. you can pick up 4GB drives for under £35 now! So now I can just dump a few albums onto the pen drive and go.. Had anyone else got one of these? How have you found it? Nick raved about it and to be honest for £99 they seem like an absolute steal.. I hooked it up and its looking ok, and sounds great.
