g60bv 0 Posted May 4, 2004 i had the plate made up, the air filter i bought at an air cooled vw show, only £8, it's more show than actully go, but i thought it seems better than the blanking plate, if you do remove the boost return pipe the noise from part throttle and gear change is v loud, and wil pi@@ you off after a while, to combat the noise get a section of hoover hose, and connect it to the boost return hose then tie it up and run it under the car,(see pic). this way you dont get the woooshing noise and constanst drown of air blowing on to the bulk head. hope this helps.
