weskos 0 Posted April 2, 2007 Hiya, i have just got back from a drive and noticed steam coming from under the bonnet. It is coming from the reservoir in the cooling system. I know that the cap will undo itself to relese the pressure, but why would the water be sooooo hot?? coz its actually boiling out from the cap. Also the oil pressure light was flasing and beeping too indicating low oil pressure. Are these to problems connected?? Thanks and absolutely any info will be a great help. Thanks Guys. samg60 0 Posted April 2, 2007 whatever you do dont drive it any further until you get an oil pressure gauge on it, boiling water sounds like possible head gasket. you arent perchance the fella that bought the big valve head from us about 8 months ago ? whats the oil level and water level like now the car has cooled ....
