Critical_Mass 10 Posted May 15, 2007 Hi folks, I bought some McGuard locking nuts from ebay and was told they'd fit a Corrado 93 VR- but they dont fit. They are too small and dont even bite onto the thread of the hub. So went to Halfords to get some more McGuard nuts and I've tried ALL the model numbers they listed for the VR and non fit. So, has anyone got the model number for their locking nuts, so i can be sure to get the right ones? Seems strange not one model fitted. I also compared them to the old nuts (Halfools broke my locking keyS) and they do differ. The sloped part of the bolt before the thread is more angled and not as deep, if that makes sense. Help PLEEEEAASE,ive got vunerable wheels at the mo! Thanks in advance. P.S. I will get some pics of the old bolts and the bolts from ebay to show comparison between the 2. StuartFZR400 0 Posted May 17, 2007 I bough new McGuard bolts off ebay, they were for a Merc. The most important thing is they had the correct size thread. They were too long and just needed cutting down. Buy if you're buying a 3rd set, make sure you get the correct ones; so sorry I dont know the correct part number for the VW ones - any chance you can email or phone McGuard?
