Wire Cutter Recommendations Required

Slightly random I know, but can anyone recommend a really good quality set of wire cutters? I'm fed up of blindly wasting money on cr@p quality ones & want to just get hold of a set that might actually do the job they're supposed to & perhaps even last more than 5 mins.

stripper or just a cutter.?

My snap on ones are fantastic - will go through anything and nothing has yet damaged the blade unlike my previous cheapos. The vans currently have a deal on for their new design - something like £25 + vat ? well worth it IMHO.

Hi Yalan, Just really after a good set of wire cutters. Largely to be used for cutting the wire cables used on bikes (of the pedal variety!), though obviously good enough to takle other more substantial wires.

 

Can a mere mortal buy Snap-On products or are they only available to the trade?

Anyone can buy from the vans - its just that they don't stop anywhere other than garages.

I tend to just call up my local guy and ask him where he'll be at what time.

 

You should be able to get the number of your local guy from the kettering head office.

Nice one. They look the business! :) I'll try and find out where and when I'll be able to catch up with the local guy & get me a set of these. Hopefully I'll manage to do so before the offer runs out.
