Bally 0 Posted December 15, 2003 The rims looks sweet, myn aren't thats clean, but will sort them when the weather perks up.. BTW do you use any alloy polish stuff on them?
PhatVR6 0 Posted December 15, 2003 all I've done it used paint stripper to get the lacquer off them. I haven't had any polish on them at all yet. Not had any bother with the going 'furry' yet either. They'll be coming off soon anyway, I'm going 5 stud with wide track soon and putting the polished speedlines on it.
Bally 0 Posted December 15, 2003 8) mate... do look clean.. :D the speedlines will look really 8) 8) 8)
joebloggsVR69 0 Posted December 15, 2003 Wont they rust without the laquer? :? I had similar wheels and the guy at the refurb. shop told me not to get em done! He said they'd out live the car in their original state, but removing the lquer would kill em within 12 months
PhatVR6 0 Posted December 15, 2003 rust? they're forged aluminium you fool. They will get white furry marks on them if you never clean them, but if you wash them once a week and polish them every other week they're fine.
Bournemouth James 0 Posted December 15, 2003 lovely colour, i would of settled for a corrado in that colour when i was looking for my black one, i also almost went to see a vr6 in that colour, but it was sold
joebloggsVR69 0 Posted December 15, 2003 rust? they're forged aluminium you fool. Yeah thanks for that, I realised that 10mins after I posted  But they do go all scabby, or 'furry' as you put it.. My bro in law's Estorils suffered that after he got em polished like mirrors

PhatVR6 0 Posted December 16, 2003 Polished wheels don't take much looking after. Better to run steel wheels and winter tyres in the winter though.
