FTM1975 0 Posted July 6, 2007 Just got back from a 3930 mile trip round europe in the trusty 16v which was totally problem free and within 100 miles of been back at home the fuel pump went this morning on the way to work! at least i'm presuming its the fuel pump as yesterday it kept cutting out and juddering really heavily when pulling away and i noticed when i parked up a serious whining noise coming from underneath the car in front of the back wheel, when i tapped the pump which was whining it stopped for a bit before starting again. anyway this morning i had just filled up with fuel and as i was pulling away, judder judder DONK! anyway managed to roll her into the garage next door lucky for me. anyway have asked the guy to give me a quote on the pump, anyone got any ideas on what this will cost???????
