jonnyboyo 0 Posted August 17, 2007 Who did you buy the lamp off as a matter of interest? I have been bidding on lamps this past 2wks and don't fancy getting stiffed by the same kn*b cheese if he's flogging more.
stevef182 0 Posted August 17, 2007 he was called 'dirty yorkshire dubber' i bid on it thinking he would be a vw enthusiast of some sort (due to the name) and thus trustworthy...however having won the bid he refused to reply to my e-mails, asking how much he wanted for postage, as it hadnt been stated in the auction...i didnt hear anything back from him for ages and then a month or so later he opened a 'dispute' on ebay saying that i hadnt paid...so i contacted him again and no reply and again and so forth until he told me he wanted £25 posted (an extra £15 from what i won it for) so regrettingly i paid and sure enough no headlight for ages!! no replies and so on till i sent him mail threatening to use the police..finally a reply and a few weeks later a headlight..but the wrong one! now the 'dispute folder' on ebay is closed coz of the length of time and he wont reply to any mail so i cant send it back....and im out £25 and still have a broken headlight!!! TOSSER!

skinnyman9000 0 Posted August 21, 2007 Ebay and paypal are slowly turning into the devil! A mate of mine sold his stainless exhaust system off his escort RST, he got £200 for the exhaust through paypal. He sent it off and then the buyer decided he hadn't recieved the item, opened a complaint with paypal, and they just took the £200 back off my mate! Paypal make no attempt to hear both sides of the story, they just took the money off him, no questions. And when he emailed paypal about the problem all they would say is hat the dispute has been closed!
Alexander 0 Posted August 21, 2007 Typical. I got ripped off when I bought some wheels off a guy on a forum, paypal wouldn't give me my money back despite me plainly being in the right!
stevef182 0 Posted August 21, 2007 and thats exactly why i dont wanna use paypal anymore!! gash!
