Help!!! I got Vise-Gripped - Door Handle

There must be something that we c owners can do to prevent this from happening. I remembered that there was armour door guards for my scirocco.

Is that what it is, someone trying to break in. Had this happen to my drivers handle on a previous corrado i owned. I though it was just due to the pulling of the door handle when opening the door DOH!

 

I think you can get guards for the handles, dont know what they'd look like though

My drivers door looks like that, I assumed it was just over use as there is no paint damage to the door or any visible sign of damage to the handle...

 

Is there a soution to it / how do I fix?
