RDH 0 Posted October 6, 2007 Decided to remove the crap old pioneer HU and fit a nice Alpine HU in my C, When I removed the old HU I found a red wire not connected to anything, and not isolated in anyway (i.e just bare wires), did not like the idea of this so I taped up the wire and fitted the Alpine HU. The HU will not work, however if I remove the tape from the red wire it works fine, any ideas what I should do with this red wire? (It is not as far as I can see part of the stereo loom), any ides why the HU will not work if I try to make the wire safer? Any help appreciated.
