dam looks like someones gonna beat me to it! i'm looking for a super cheap valver atm for a mate ideally with shonky paint to turn a matt colour... wont be black though i honestly think its been over done by poeple who then stick 'rat stylz' crap all over it... a mate of mine sprayed his drift silvia in silver rattle cans with a black glass house... looked the dogs tbh! 8) and cost sod all, just go down to an automotive paint specialist and see if they have any uncollected orders they want shot of... bound to get some light or pastel colour you could add a matting agent to that you woudlnt need to worry about keeping it shiney... just an idea though! :D

That pic of the corrado on g-werks open day looks sweet....The wheels are dodgy, but think of a high quality matt black paintjob with some super sweet polished bbs rs's...Would look the dogs nuts!

Im not one for the rat look, but my mate painted his mk2 golf with a can of black paint and a paintbrush...it turned out pretty cool....It got more looks than most cars and had that understatedness about it...The best bit about the paintjob was the bumper sticker that read 'I drive a crap car to make up for my massive penis'

My car is red, its forever in the garage being fixed, but i have to polish once every 3 hours otherwise it turns pink...I say go for the matt black look man! And when you get it done, I might even look into it for my VR6!

The money I save on the paint job I could spend on my girlfreind....in fact...nar...

There's a blurry pic of a matt black 'rado at the top of this page. Interesting choice of wheel colour.

I guess ultimately it's down to you, I used to run a matt-blacked Kawasaki 550 bike when I was couriering in London years ago, but that was 100 per cent pure rat. It'd also make it hard to sell if that crosses your mind. I guess you could always matt black it, then save for a full-on paint job later down the line, but if you're going to do that, you might be better off just living with the paintwork as is for now and putting the money towards a proper paint job?

That very car is now for sale on ebayhttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1992-Volkswag ... dZViewItem

Saw a mk3 which was matt grey and it looked rude as, Not sure it works on a corrado though.

I've an 89 Helious blue 1.8 valver. I was in two minds about the paint. Stone chips here and there, bits of dents, bottoms of the wings going rusty. I had to repair rust on the roof, where some one had used sillicone sealer to bond on the rubber strip around the windscreen. Went for satin black as it was the quickest way to get my carback on the road. Once finished, it looked really mean, son next step is a gloss red bay with a complete satin black respray. Easy to maintain, and touch up, as i like to drive the car in a "spirited manner".

it's like almost a pearl whilst not being a rallye and it's blue...dark blue!

dark blue cars are always hot

fair enough, it is your mk2 at the end of the day, Ijust love helious and know they are getting fewer :help:

I'd matt black a Corrado for sure, but you'd have to tie in EVERYTHING else with it. The colour alone is not enough.

matt black corrado?...

one word 'NO'

a matt black car just blatently says ' im a cheapskate'....unless its really old and retro it cant be done...plus i seen a few chavs with matt black cars now cos they think its cool, that itself is a reason not to.

satin i think does work....but again on only a handfull of cars..ie:this polo

i think camo matt has been played out as much if not more than matt black.

If you're doing it to be scene, i don't think there's a point but if you genuinely want to have a reflection-free car then fair enough.
