Fingers 0 Posted November 14, 2003 My accelorator pedal squeaks for the first 5-10 degrees of movement :( , I guess the spring that returns it needs a bit of oil. Anybody else had this problem, and where do you put the oil? do you strip back the interior, or can you get to it form the engine bay?
GazzaG60 0 Posted November 14, 2003 IIRC the acc pedal doesn't have a spring. The tension is provided by the throttle body. maybe the cable. or the pivot point
Guest Posted November 26, 2003 hello, you've probably already solved this problem, i've only just discovered this website!! i have a 2.0L 16v and my accelorator pedal used to squeak all the time. only found out what it ws last week when the throttle cable snapped. :( thankfully, it snapped whilst it was parked on the driveway and not when i was thrashing the pants off it. :D Jo
