Rear braided brake lines

Recommended Posts

Hey folks, will have the back axle off the corrado soon so thought it's the best time to stick some braided lines :D

But I already have them up front for the brembos, so does anyone know of somewhere i can just buy a rear set?

TIA

Andy

Just for future reference, C&R can do a front and middle (over axle) kit or a full 6 line kit.

Unfortunately they can't do a middle and rear line kit which is what i'm after :( So a full 6 line kit will have to suffice :?

Just a quick note when buying braided hoses from C&R before buying them if you have a later modle with the recess in the middle hoses for the clips make them aware, they sent me some out and they didnt have the recess or any means of securing them to the axle. I phoned up and asked how they fixed them as i thought they would all be the same as it happend some one else had just had the same problem, they said its the first time they have supplied the ones i and the other person required, so they are trying to rectify the problem and get some delivered straight from godridge (they have been very helpfull). Just thought id make people aware so they dont order the wronge ones.

Hi mate,

Do you still have the brake hoses? If so will they fit standard rears on a 95 VR6?

Also do they come with the middle line to fit to as you've said they were supplied in error, what would determine what Corrado they would fit?

Cheers

Ah well, you can let me know. So the ones that connect to the calipers would fit but the others wont, is that correct?

How come you ended up with the other ones that wont fit a VR6 or will they but just an earlier model?

Cheers

what happened is i got some golf mk 4 calipers so i had to buy a pair of rear hoses to change mk 2 fittings to mk 4 (golf) but then had to buy a full set of 6 (2 front 2 rear origanal fitting and 2 that fit over the axel) to upgrade the rest. so thats why i had the spare back hoses. it wasn't till i went to fit the hoses that go over the back axel that i realised i had a problem the hoses fitted the fixed lines but the origanal clips wouldnt secure them. so when i phoned C&R to ask what they used to secure them we relised there were the wrong ones. they got the manuals out for the year and reg of my car which is a M95 and said that they would get soe new ones out for me FOC. they must have had a bit of a mix up because someone else must have had the same problem and goodride had sent them out and not mine. After a few call i got myine just before christmas but havent got them on the car yet becase its stood anyway still loads to do, and the wrong ones are still on the car but those are the spares that i have left when i take them off(this weekend or next week hopefully). if you want me to take a phot of both when there of i can so you no which will fit yours but i should think that C&R will be pretty clued up on when they changed now.

Seems to be a lot of complications with these hoses, the mechanic had a set he was going to put on for me but turned out they didn't fit, so just replaced one of them that was bulging with a standard hose.

I wont have a clue photo or not lol, I was under the car for a look when it was up on the ramp but I'm not mechanically minded really, my car is a 95N Storm if that makes a difference to whether they would fit or not
