DIY HID conversions for auxiliary lights

since my wife complained so much about not enough lighting when she drives at night I finally decided to do something about it.

As many drivers know that the stock OEM halogen headlights are really dim. Even after fitting 6000k HID capsules the light output is more but on those unlit side roads or snow storms is still lacking.

Therefore the addition of a pair of BOSCH driving light will be good. What even will get more light output out of these german made glass lenses and reflectors would be to fit in H3 HID capsules for the ultimate in light output on the road.

this time I chose 4300K for the H3 driving lights for the maximum lumens available.

what do you think? It is not a ralley guys. LOL!!

seeing how bright her car was I decided to do the same on my honda civic as well.

Got some Depo auxiliary lights for my EK.

Supposed to be completely plug and play for the wiring but I wanted more lumens that any halogen can supply.

So I'm going to HID these as well.

I wanted to go with clear 4300K but a buddy was telling me to go the 3000K route.

I'm still leaning more on 4300K as I will have them on most of the time and don;t want to get hassled by cops for having yellow lights.

today i spent a total of one hour fitting the H3 HID capsules inside the light housings and drilling a big enough hole in the rear back plate to fit the grommet.

not bad for a day's work LOL!!!! need a break now.:thumbup:

so afterwards it looked OEM except for the two high tension HID plugs. I left the stock electrical wiring as it would not affect anything and you can easily put back the halogen in if needed.
