'93 Vento 1.8 GLX - VR6 Conversion?

Hi all,

 

Long time I've been away from here and I know it's not a Corrado but might be someone on here who can help or point me in the right direction.

 

I have been offered a sound 93 Vento 1.8 GLX for nothing. It was on the rally Brooksey and I did in seperate teams this year via Stelvio, Lake Como, Cortina, Imola, Monza, Nurburgring and Spa and drove fine from Scotland to Rimini in Italy. http://www.scallyrally.co.uk/ if anyone is interested for next year.

 

Now Ventos took a VR6 engine so I'm wondering what's going to be involved in an engine swap. I'm thinking out aloud so its possible its not financially viable as you can buy a decent VR6 Vento for £1500. Any Vento experts out there?

just the same as doing a VR6 into a Golf...........tho you will need to change the driveshafts/hubs IIRC..............tbh you'd be as well just buying a real Vento VR
