Brown / White and Red wires dangling behind the glove box

Putting my dash back together now and would like to know if these should be connected.

 

Socket on the left found behind the glove box. A little way to the right 2 x plugs were dangling with the same colour wires

 

Should one of the plugs be in that socket? were does the other plug go?

looks to me like it may have sumthing to do with the heater blower if you know what i mean?

 

i may be wrong, im just trying to think if there were any wires like that when i replaced my dash and sorted the electrics, only thing being mines a 16v and im geussing by your avatar that youve got a vr, is your heater working on all for settings??
