Jim Bowen 1 Posted January 2, 2008 i noticed while taking rear of car apart that the parcel shelfs supports have a layer of leather or leather lookalike over them. is the dash also covered in this? or is it just plastic? i can tell that the gear surround and handbrake bits are just plastic Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
12 DEG BEN 0 Posted January 2, 2008 The dash has a thin plastic coating on top of a thin foam layer to git it a soft feel. I know this because I chopped one up to fit a mk2 golf. As for the handbrake cover, my original one was just plastic by my brand new vw one has a soft feel skin on it that makes it look more leathery. The rest is just plastic.
