HEADLINING, Colours?

Recommended Posts

Sorry for also hijacking but this is something I have never thought of before.

Coming up to 18 years the headlining is beginning to look a bit grubby...

If I removed it, would I be able to simply spray it black with the said spray paint and re-fit....

Thanks

Stefan

Hopefully YES! I havn't personally done a roof lining in it yet! But as u can see by the photo it works really really well on vinyl!!! And i can get it in almost any colour! Hope that helps! :D

I'd be interested in a can of this in black too please - would it also work with the a, b and c pillars as they are vinyl coated? If so, probably best to get 2 cans please. Let me know how you want payment. I've used specialist spray paint before to change the colour of plastics and it worked really well.

I remember reading once that the press cars came with a black headlining, alot of reviews at the time said that the interior of the car was too dark and so when it came to production the standard headlining colour was changed to the creamy colour we all know and love.

So have we all just stumbled upon some extremely rare parts (even more rare than storm leather) if the press cars had full black interior.

Tried using the spray paint today pm the sunvisors and a pillar trim. All in all pretty impressed, although it sticks better to the material bit of the sunvisors than the hard plastic bits. I would recommend using plastic primer first on those for anyone else. Just have to do the rest of it now :?

Cheers guys. I was well impressed with the visors. Only one more a pillar, 2 x B's and 2 x C's and the cross piece, and the grab handle and the roof and sunroof to do now - easy  . I'll let you know if I need any more paint :D :D

Right, given it 2 tins, and it is starting to look good. Being fabric it is just soaking up the paint, but it is getting there :D :D
