Arrow3 VR6 0 Posted November 20, 2003 I just got my oil pan replaced due to an oil leak, and my clutch bleed a little bit, and then I got my car back and it's still idling incorrectly as it was before. It always seems to be idling too low, and this causes it too stall WAY too frequently. Even when I have my foot all the way down on the clutch, and I'm giving it gas and I release the clutch a tiny bit, it will just stall right away. When this was happening yesterday it was really rainy, and someone told me that the problems could be caused by the engine getting way too wet. Does anyone have any suggestions? Does this happen to anyone else?? Do Corrados have this problem in general?? Thanks in advance for all the help! Cheers.
stevemac 0 Posted November 23, 2003 What model Corrado is it ?? If it's a G60 then try disconnecting the blue temp sensor (while the engine is running) - fitted into the water pipe on the front of the engine. If it makes no difference at all - replace this sensor. If your engine cuts out or runs even more roughly then this sensor is okay. Check condition of the ECU vac hose - ends sometimes start to leak - should measure exactly 1m in length. If the ends are damaged then you'll need to replace the entire hose. Also check out the DIY section of http://www.snstuning.com If it's a VR6 than I ain't got a clue.

Henny 0 Posted November 23, 2003  @ Stevemac... Arrow3 VR6 if it's a dampness related problem, then I know that VR6s have problems with cracks in the coilpack insulation which would cause bad idling and possible stalling if it's damp outside... Does your car have a traditional looking distributor, or a big block with the spark plug leads attached? If it's the latter, then this is your coilpack. 8) Have a quick search for "coilpack" here and you'll find a load of bits and pieces about them... 8)
