Metal sill strips

Recommended Posts

I notice in some of the photos that people have changed the plastic sill strips for metal ones, with 16V etc etched in.

Do you just peel the plastic ones off, or put the metal ones over the top?

And if you have to peel it, is it easy or do you need to use a heat gun?

I bought some sill strips from Volksbits and was really disappointed to recieve 2 bit of flimsy metal about an inch wide. Can anyone point me in the direction of some more substantial ones?

Heh, maybe I ought to set up a post about this, I've had quite a few enquiries about it. If you go to http://www.corrado-club.ca tech/modifications section then all will become clear. It is a TT one and there's a full guide to doing the mod there. I did mine a little differently as I wanted it to make the mod reversible. Read the guide and then PM if you're interested.
