Diesel Junior 0 Posted February 15, 2008 Hi there, my fan works fine on 2,3 & 4 but oddly not on number one so its asphxiation or gale force....can anyone shed any light on this? :?
ZippyVR6 0 Posted February 15, 2008 Mine had the similar problem. I put it down to poor contacts, the If you pull of the cover you will see a contact that moves. I cleaned it up with some glass paper and prized it up a little to give better contact. Works on all speeds.
White2505 0 Posted February 17, 2008 or the fan speed resistor inside the motor is 'fubar'd' these are known to go eventually and there are usually spares on fleabay for about a fiver
jamminvr6storm 0 Posted February 17, 2008 Early or late shape fan controls? Mine are late shape round dials and I had similar problems with the contacts on the blower module.
Diesel Junior 0 Posted February 18, 2008 Good question!! Its a 94 Corrado LHD with rotary controls. I took the dial off and saw the sliding contact and managed to move it so that the fan now works on 2 & 3. If its possible to buy solely the brass slider then i may well go for this but if it costs and i have to start hacking away at the dashboard i may just leave it.....
