94 L 1.8 16v ???

I've seen this car advertised but can't get a guide price for a 94 L reg 1.8 16v! When was the last 1.8 produced. Was VW still making a 1.8 166v C in 94'?

Nope.. the 1.8 stopped getting produced in '92 when the 2.0 16v came in.

 

If its a 94 car, then it'll be a 2.0 16v and the seller just hasn't done their research. If it isn't then its possibly had an engine transplant at some point in its life?

Unlikely but it also could be a very late registered 1.8, if so it would have the early body / interior and so on....

 

I think what Jim says is more likely - it is just a 2.0 - but then again, doesn't it say the engine size on the manifold??

1.8 KR 16Vs only said DOHC VW on the manifolds... Dunno about the 2.0 16Vs 'cos I've not played with one yet... 8)

Just paid £1700 for H reg 1.8 Met Grey. Immaculate in side and out, 1 hour test drive taking in every kind of road I could get on, absolutely brilliant!!! Only thing it needs is a decent head unit! Once again........ I'VE GOT A CORRADO!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!
