Dubster82's probably right... On the end of the shaft that holds the numbers for the milage read-out, there's a little gear that sometimes comes loose (or is "adjusted" to clock the car... :roll: ) which will stop the milage changing...

 

If it's just slipped, it's not too bad a job to sort it out... If it's damaged, then I'm not sure how you'd go about fixing it/ getting a new one... :?
