stevemac 0 Posted November 30, 2003 spoiler not working over 50mph or manually.Could be something simple lilke a blown fuse - may need a bit more investigation. 2nd gear sticky - gears are very looseCable shift may need adjusting. steering wheel not centered when driving straight. pulls left very slowlyMany German cars pull slightly to the left - maybe worth checking the tyre pressures. Steering wheel is easy to centre, remove the centre nut & just reposition the wheel on the strg column. BTW - welcome to the forum..
iandavidcassidy 0 Posted November 30, 2003 thanks. might buy it then! engine noise worrys me though. are vr6's very noisey normally? i am worried as i heard they are expensive to maintain although i love the power! should i go for a 2.0? or are they the same maintianance? Jim 2 Posted November 30, 2003 The VR6 engine should generally be a quite smooth engine.. it only gets noisy when you press the loud pedal :) The steering problem could just be tracking.. though give it a good check over as it could indicate that the car has had a front impact / smash and the steering has been affected as a result. If this is the first car you have been to look at, don't just rush in.. have a good look around as there are plenty. Oh, and welcome to the forum :)
les 0 Posted November 30, 2003 good advice about not rushing it.........whatever u do, do an Hpi Check, 01722 412888 giving reg no:/chassis no.....as if it has been a Total Loss, it certainly ain't worth £4600! les
