Yea he is a jap specialist but the guy that works for him is a vw mechanic for 15+ years the only people I trust with my car really good at what they do.

 

Only one thing im away on holidays soon and if people want to do it i would have to arrange it for august.

That 'City North Hotel' seems to be a good venue for a meet up, its just off Junction 7 on the M1. Looks like the Octane guys will be there on Sunday August 1st. I was thinking that maybe we could call there either before or after the RR, that would make a good day of it. But now I'm realising we'll prob not get a RR test on a Sunday :(

rr would be a bonus alright - if the meet up goes well, we can always arrange a Sat hook up and box off the rr then.

 

The Octane yoke I mentioned is, or was, based up in Carrickmines, near Lepardstown Race Course. Apparently there was some scumbags up there the day before the official meet and the car park management people decided to now ban any 'group type' gatherings. will find out where the July 4th one is soon.

R&R day would be a saturday and Im away soon for a few weeks and I need to put my rado back together for the R&R day so if I get names and numbers over the next few weeks I will arrange the R&R day.

Im another valver owner in Longford. there's another 2lt 16v and an 8v as well as a g60 in the county!

just a heads up for those of us in sunny Ireland - the annual Vintage & Classic car show is on this weekend in Teranure School grounds in Dublin. Google for map / opening times etc. Sunday July 4th at 12pm'ish I think.

 

Sounds a bit lame, but it's not so much 'Vintage' as 'Modern Classic' and classic modern :shrug: sort've thing.

 

Really, really recommend it. Some of the cars there last year were beyond belief and it's a massive event.
