cost of engine rebuild 1.8 16v????

ive just bought a 1990 corrado in white but it could do with an engine rebuild,gutted. anyone know roughly how much it will cost.thanks :D

Look for a 9A or 6A 2.0 bottom end, use your head and cams, and budget £300 to have the head rebuilt. That's the route I'd take.

or pick up a 1.8 16v engine complete for 50-100 quid, everyone wants the 2L lumps so the 1.8s can often be had quite cheaply.
