oil filter casing leaking

Recommended Posts

Ive just had my sump gasket replaced on my 2.0 16 valve, started it up and left it running for about 40 mins, it showed no signs of leaking anywhere, it is however leaking from where the oil filter housing bolts to the engine, has any one changed one & is it a hard job to do??

For some reason these gaskets seem to leak on 9A's - easy job to replace tho, just 3 allen head bolts I think but you might need to move the OE heat exchanger to get access...

Also check it's not one of the senders ontop of the filter housing as these can leak a lot of oil when they go - usually right at the top where the metal meets plastic
