Passenger side windscreen and side demister HELP

Recommended Posts

I have a 1995 VR6 which had the heater matrix replaced earlier this year. A couple of weeks after this was replaced I noticed the blower for the passenger side demister (screen and passenger side window) was not working. (The garage that the breakdown people took me to closed so I have no come back to them). The drivers side works fine. I have had a look behind the glove box and shelf and all hoses seem to be connected. The blower for the passenger side works, just not the de misters!! Any help would be appreciated!!!

Check over all of your cables as one may be broken or be disconnected, it sounds like one of your flaps that diverts air flow is staying in one position.

I think im right in saying that the plastic gears are quite fragile, if one of them is broken that will also stop the flap from working.

Hope that helps!

The passenger side blower does work. The air is coming out of the centre of the dash (have taken the covers off the windscreen demister) but the air is only going one way towards the drivers side.

I suffer with that a bit too..the passenger sides works but only just.

The drivers demists a hellva lot quicker than the passenger side does.

Like you I had the heater matrix changed.Mind you prior to that none of it worked so i think of it as an improvement lol
