boost monkey 0 Posted June 5, 2008 Looks good Keith! will that rack mount on the Corrado frame properly, as it needs 2 bush mountings as opposed to 1 on the standard Corrado item? Also, that looks like a Mk2 golf subframe? I had some trouble with one of those and decided not to use it in the end, but I can't really tell if it's a Mk2 item from that photo so maybe it is a Corrado one :salute: So, what's the plan for drivetrain, suspension, brakes etc?
Dub20vt 0 Posted June 5, 2008 That's an awesome shell prep. wish i had the time and funds to take mine that far! where's your cage from? looks very custom cages to me?? i haven't really seen any other options for corrado shells apart from custom stuff. KeithC 0 Posted June 5, 2008 Yep rack and frame both fit. Am tinkin of KW 3's or H&R Cup kit, not 100% yet tho. Have Vibretech bushes fitted to axle and wisbones now.. Prob go for sum nice Willwood or AP 4 or 6 pots, not gettin to big of discs cause car should be less than 1000kgs no need to over kill.. Have to get custom driveshafts made up aswell as engine mounts.. Yep the cage is Custom Cages A mate has a set of the new 17" lightweight OZ's was gonna paint them black if i paint the car white. Can't deside whether to paint it white or sumting else now? Any1 any thoughts???
Cheapmods 0 Posted June 6, 2008 looks awesome!! :notworthy: I like how sneaky you're being with the engine, but i'm almost positive i know what that is. haha as for the color I love this one (unfortunately the name escapes me) the owner swapped out the stock wheels with black racing wheels & it looks amazing. I'll find the name tomorrow if you like. The picture doesn't do it justice. ** i believe it's atlas grey **

yeti 0 Posted May 17, 2009 Keith, did you fit the cage yourself? - i have picked up the same cage today from a mate who wont be using it and according to the custom cages site the tubes should all be profiled at each end - this ones just straight cut, and it should come with a cd and mounts, came with the floor mount plates but no cd, did you recieve any of this with yours? what does the cd contain? junkie 0 Posted June 29, 2009 Yep, see the pictures above, its pretty much the image i have been building up in my head, then i see this nice motor on clubgti. Basically Custom Cages or homemade similar by me and a mate. Flocked dash 2 nice seats [buckets] most likely conversation stoppers 20v and silly power 6 speed O2M Quaiffe or similar Maybe SQS sequential shifter which may mean dogbox The same wishbones etc as above Fancy suspension, also looking into independant rear suspension I was going white but not Corrado white, undecided on colour Fuel cell in car Carban fibre bonnet, boot, roof Lots of dials in carbon dash insert Suede steering wheel, mine retrimmed Compo wheels Biggerbig brakes Still some stuff to think about but thats the basics. :ignore:
