heater only works on fan setting 4???

hi... does anyone know what the most likely prob would be with my heater fan? fiddled with taking the switch apart today but no joy! could the problem be at the heater motor end??

 

any ideas??

Usual thing. The resistor on the motor behind the passenger side parcle shelf....it happens to us all its a probably a factory option that vw forgot to tell us about lol.

 

Its a 5 minute job to fix which is just as well as you'll be doing it alot. In fact they should make it part of the annual service and be done with it. :grin:
