Removal of front subframe needed?

Hi all,

 

I need a new clutch kit fitted to my VR6 - in order to do this, does it involve removing the front subframe or partly removing it? I've been told the mounting bolts on mine have seized resulting in me needing a new one, does this make sense?

 

Any help/guidance is much appreciated!

there is no need to touch the subframe at all when changing the clutch, i think someone is having you on mate.
